Labro - Project

Rebirthing Goddess by LabroRaphael Labro's captivating new series of works entitled “GLORIANA - The Gate to Atlantis”. We see the continuation of his stunning vision and revelation of Mythical Atlantis Malta transformed into a visual rebirth of the present which heralds the promise of a reawakened enlightened future, Labro's vibrant, abstract style creates a visually mesmerizing experience that inspires the mind and reaches deep within the emotion of the viewer. Using ancient symbols and images, he touches the primal force of nature.

Bringing us to an awareness of mankind's wandering away from the path and, through the reawakening of the ancient wisdom and Goddesses, brought back into a re-emergence of wisdom and love in being. An apocalypse not of total destruction and despair, but of transcendence and joy.

8th August to 8th September 2008 from 10oo till 16oo everyday.

Labro takes us on a visual journey through an alternative book of Revelation. The rebirth of not only mankind but of all creation. Reenergized, reawakened and redefined. Through his precise and brilliant use of ancient symbols and embedding of sacred geometry in his works, we are given not only a visual piece to admire, but are taken on a journey that touches our subconscious and stirs the collective memory that takes us to the dawn of existence. Within these beautiful images there exists the secret of our long journey, the paths we have taken and the path we may choose to eternal love and oneness in existence with all the forces within the universe. A perfect harmonic convergence of knowledge and understanding.

Our journey takes us through the mythology, the long path of truth throughout our short existence. With subliminal nods to the varied mythologies and histories of ancient civilizations, we find our
path coming full circle, to the fork between fatalism and nirvana.

The ancient neolithic goddesses of Malta are a focal point of Labro's inspiration. Such pieces as the restful, pure beauty of the Elysium Goddess of Atlantis. Her full fertile body golden against the deep serene of the blue sky. Gloriana heralds a Golden Era that awaits. The calm beauty hints at the serene calm that comes with wisdom shared and understood. The golden rays the power of positive faith in existence.

Rebirthing Goddess shows mankind in an embryonic, tumultuous state. A quiet before the sensory storm that leads forebirth and reawakening. As in all his works, Labro's expressive, deeply inspired style is driven by his strong vision for a revived civilization, a better, more sensitive world. A world where we remember our ties to all of the Universe and the responsibility we have to all of Creation. Transcendental Voyage shows humankind floating on an ocean of sea and sky watched over by God. Calm and turbulent at once; melding the contrasts of creation and a union of being and senses that breaks free of the conscious mind that is held by the self imposed so-called rational thoughts and fears of man.

As the piece Gloriana 7th Insight shows the brilliant light of the subconscious overcoming the more sombre waking mind, .Labro conveys that we can overcome the fatalist thinking of our modern society. There is a synchronicity to all our dreams and that we can choose the path of a vibrant paradise. The merging of the conscious and subconcious being. The evolution to understanding all that the universe has to offer; all the secrets revealed. The lidded eyes expressing dreams through which the Goddesses speak to us.

And finally, the ancient beauty of Tellus II. Her eyes capture our attention and hold us with the wisdom that emanates from deep within. Her serene visage signaling a great transition to an existence of harmony, peace and the ever important love. It is our choice to make. But the ancient Goddesses have reawakened to guide us through this tumultuous time.

Within all the works showcased in this collection Labro has brought not only visions of beauty, but visions of the future. A future that is nearly here. Surreal, vibrant, captivating and very complex, the viewer is given an experience that goes far beyond the normal. We are given images that reawaken us, recall within our long sleeping minds the path we once strayed from and the urgency that we make our way back. The answers are there, we must open our hearts and minds to receive them. And with Raphel Labro's GLORIANA series, we are given the keys.
